Susan is survived by her loving husband, Greg Northman, who was her wonderful and constant support as her health declined. She is also survived by her close cousins “the Murphy clan”; Catherine (Brian) Phelan, Chris (Cindy) Murphy, Doug (Lemlem) Murphy, Dale (Kim) Murphy and their families. Susan was a special “aunt” to Carl (Jennifer) Phelan and Megan (Mark) Logan and their families. Susan was a godmother to Megan and they shared a special bond.
Also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles on the Innes side, including David (Betty) Marriott, their children Kimberly and Greg and special Uncle Bob Ashton.
Susan was born in Wolfville, NS and after living in several Atlantic communities the family settled in Dartmouth NS where Susan completed her schooling. Susan always had a deep fondness for the Annapolis Valley.
Susan was diagnosed with Lupus in her early twenties but despite the many health challenges she faced she graduated from Dalhousie University with her BSc and then went on to complete her pharmacy degree. She worked for many years as a pharmacist in the QE hospitals.
When her health allowed she loved gardening and cooking. Susan especially loved her many cat friends and thoroughly enjoyed her time spent with these special furry friends.
There will be no visitation or Service. Donations to the NS SPCA (or a charity of your choice) would be much appreciated.
Arrangements are being made by J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Lacewood Drive.
