On August 5, 2020, Richard passed peacefully at the QE II Hospital (Halifax NS) after a courageous battle with cancer. In the presence of his loved ones, the music he so deeply enjoyed, and his rekindled faith in God, he entered into his eternal rest.
Born in St. John's, NL 1965 he was the son of Doreen Williams (nee Purcell) and Richard Williams (predeceased 2017).
Leaving to mourn is his loving mother Doreen; brother Steven (Karen) ; sisters Deirdre (Kevin) Cooper,
Connie (Douglas) Valdron, Doreen (Chris) Nickerson; his three children Richard (Ricky), Rebekah, and Josslin; and his pride and joy, his only grandson Mavrick. He will also be missed dearly by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and special friend Wyndolyn.
Rick will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, always helping others.
He had a passion for hockey. His dream was fulfilled when he travelled with his brother
to see his favourite team, the Boston Bruins, play live. He was an avid collector of Boston Bruins memorabilia and keepsake hockey cards.
The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 5.2 (ICU) for their care and compassion during the most difficult time.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Snow Funeral Home.
There will be no public visitation or service.
