Reginald Cecil Rafuse

Rafuse, Reginald Cecil - born June 9, 1928 in Conquerall Bank passed quietly at Parkstone Nursing Home during the early morning hours of October 22, 2012. Reg was a painter with the Nova Scotia Department of Government Services for thirty-nine years and spent many dedicated years there as a Purchasing Agent. After his retirement in 1985, Reg continued his passion for construction as a builder and General Contractor. His study hands and knowledge of the trades resulted in structures that have stood the test of time. Reg loved a good plan and enjoyed the accomplishment of a good scheme (Those of you who participated along the way know who you are!) He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and spent many a happy afternoon in the woods. Reg had a keen mind for business, was righteous and always spoke his mind. Reg is predeceased by his wife of fifty-two years, the late Katherine Mary (Chapman) Rafuse. He is also pre-deceased by his mother and father, the late Cecil Charles Rafuse and Verna Mae (Hull) Rafuse and his brother Robert Walsh Rafuse. He is survived by his son Randall Charles Rafuse, his daughter in-law Laila (Toulany) Rafuse, and his only grandson Christopher Cecil Rafuse and daughter Crystal Mae Rafuse. Visitation will be held at Friday, October 26th from 6-8pm with service on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 AM, both in J.A. Snow Funeral Home on 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, with internment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Conquerall Bank. Everyone is welcome to attend and say good-bye.
