Peter Francis Stirling

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Peter Francis Stirling (Oral Surgeon) at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Peter is survived by Louise Leblanc and will be with sadly and lovingly missed by Lindsay Baril (son Xavier), Craig Baril (Molly), Adam Gravelle and family pet Sophie.

Born in Ottawa on Sept 29, 1943 he was the son of the late Rear Admiral Michael Stirling and survived by Mother Sheelagh Stirling, Daughters Catherine Savoie (David), Debbie Thompson (Mark), Grandchildren, Melissa, Peter, Beth, Michael, sister Gill Stirling-Nelson (Buzz), brother Andrew Stirling (Brenda) and many nieces and nephews and the mother of his children Joan Stirling.

Peter started his career in Dentistry in the Canadian Armed Forces, and went on to practice in local hospitals and Dartmouth Dental offices and in the Halifax Areas where he healed with loving hands and a loving heart. He also practiced recently in New Brunswick. He enjoyed sailing and was a commodore at the RNSYS. In his earlier years he loved to play Rugby.

Visitation will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, N.S. on Wednesday June 19th 6pm-9pm. Funeral to be held June 20th at 11:00am in J. A. Snow Memorial Chapel.
