Peter Kenneth Connors, born to the late Alfred “Bert” and Marion (Doucette) Connors on September 21, 1950, passed away peacefully at the VG Hospital on December 19, 2020, with loved ones by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret (Lambert); two daughters, Alanna (Stephen), Melissa (Sean); Granddaughters, Jorja and Mia (Poppy’s girls); half-sister, Jean; niece, Jaclyn (Glen) and nephew, Adam (Jill). Peter was predeceased by his parents, brother Kevin and half-brother Bobby.
Always up for a song, Peter played in the band Autumn singing alongside his best-friend and brother, Kevin, for many years. A lover of sports, he was a huge fan of the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed his time on the ballfield, whether playing the game or as an umpire. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, or just catching a drink with the guys. Peter started his working life in the Army before going on to years with Sears, The Commissionaires, as a taxi-driver and Canada Post. Peter also spent many years on the screen catching parts in commercials, television shows and movies. Over the last few years, he made a lot of special memories with his family and celebrated many important milestones.
Peter loved to sing, was witty, had a keen sense of humor and could always count on him telling you a joke or two. It wasn’t hard for him to put a smile on your face, and so easy to share a laugh. This was proven in the number of friendships he’s made over the years. He was a loving husband, dad, poppy, brother, uncle and friend, and will be dearly missed by all his loved ones.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place Friday October 8 at 2pm in J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive with a reception to follow. To send the family condolences online please visit JA Snows Funeral Home at www.dignitymemorial.com.
