Trudeau, Michel “Mike” – 58, Timberlea, NS passed away peacefully on July 16th in the Halifax Infirmary after a very brief and sudden illness. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Jean & Gisele Trudeau (Bellerose). He was predeceased by a younger brother, Richard, at birth and by his precious daughter, Laura at the age of 2 ½. He was a strong, loving and loyal man who wouldn’t hurt a soul. He served in the Canadian Navy for 25 years and held several jobs since in retirement in 1996. He was stationed in Halifax where he met his wife of 20 years, Barbara. He will be forever loved & missed by his wife, Barbara (Jessome) and his adorable 11 year old daughter, Jillian who still asks daily “Daddy coming home?” Mike was a gentle man who loved being with his family and friends. Life was just simple for Mike, you just do what’s right and love those around you, and he did that so well. He’s left a large hole in our hearts.
He will be forever remembered by his extended family of in-laws; Joan Jessome & husband Winston West, Lorraine Ross & husband Danny, John Jessome & partner Lori Rutledge, Jerry Jessome, Raymond Jessome & wife Debbie, along with many special nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held, Tues. July 19, 2-4, 6-9pm in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx NS. Funeral Mass will be held Wed. July 20 at 11am in Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church, Normandy Dr. Hfx, Fr. Donald Boudreau officiating.
