Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 26, 1975, passed away on November 3, 2017
Well loved for his gentle spirit, Mark enjoyed travel and being in nature where he spent much time with friends and loved ones. He was an experienced rock climber, seeking adventure in places like Squamish BC, J-Tree California, and Pawtuckaway State Park NH. He generously gave much of his time to participate and volunteer for numerous causes. Mark led G-ROC children’s ministries for 2 years locally and trained and administered in the Bronx NY, and to far reaching locations in South America. Mark was known for his quirky humour, fierce loyalty to his loved ones including his dog Hendrix, and his incredible generosity with his time and resources.
He will be deeply missed by his parents Rick and Nancy Maas, aunts Angela and Terri and uncles Ronny and Alec. He is also survived by his step-sisters Angela, Carol and Joanne Maas; cousins Craig, Adam, Margot and Joel and will be fondly remembered by them and his large extended family including numerous great aunts and uncles, generational cousins, and his Grandparents Joyce and Donald.
Pre-deceased by his brother Allan Stephen Maas, his uncle Bryon and Grandma Dorothy.
