Margaret Bernice Gaudet

Gaudet (Lowe) Margaret Bernice - 86, Halifax, passed away on Friday, October 14th,2011, in QE11 Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Audrey (Wilneff) Lowe. Marg was first and foremost all about family. Marg was a truly dedicated wife, a loving mother and the radiance of her love spread beyond her extended family to her many friends and neighbors. Marg was a social person who reveled in family gatherings and other social occasions where it was always her sole mission to ensure that everyone was at ease, having a good time and very well fed. Marg also found great pleasure in music, dancing, doing needlepoint and playing cards. Marg and her late husband Roy enjoyed many years at their cottage, in West Quoddy, where they hosted good friends, anyone else that happened by and a guaranteed good time was had by all. In her later years Marg’s greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. Marg will be deeply missed and always remembered by her daughters Nancy Casey, Halifax; Louise Blades (Alonzo), Williamswood; grandchildren Scott Casey, (Kendra), Sackville; Jason Casey, (Courtney), Belnan; Stefanie McAvoy,(Clinton), Portuguese Cove. Also survived by great-grandchildren Ella, Liam, Keira and Myla and has two great-grandchildren on the way. Additionally survived by sisters-in-law Frances Hobbs and Ada Lowe, special niece Janet Downing (Dave), and nephew Joey Lowe. Marg was predeceased by her husband of many years Roy, brother Harold, sister Doris, brother-in-law Doug, and nephew Charles “Chuckie”. Marg’s family would like to express their thanks and profound gratitude to Dr. Anne Marie Krauger Naug and all of the other fine and gentle folk who work on 8.4 at the New Infirmary. A Memorial Service will be held at the J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive on Thursday, October 20th, at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow. Burial at the Gates of Heaven. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Margaret’s name, to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
