SWAMINATHAN, Lakshmi – 80, of Halifax passed away peacefully at home in the afternoon of August 28, 2011. Born in Madras, India, she was the daughter of E. K. Ganapathy and Narayani, both of India. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Dr. Srinivasa Swaminathan and daughter Syamala Swaminathan, son-in-law Robert Cafasso of Boston MA; granddaughter Neela Swaminathan of Boston, MA.
Lakshmi left a successful career as an Attorney in Madras, India to be with her husband in Canada. She was a well respected and popular member of her community.
