Joanne Winnifred Carter

She is survived by her son, Derek Carter (Geoff Watson); grandchildren Christopher Carter, Emma Carter Sproul (Jonathon Sproul), Hilary Carter (Nick Blackmore), Andrew Mullen, Geoffrey Mullen, and Sara Mullen; daughter-in-law Kimberly Carter and son-in-law Randy Mullen. Also survived by her sister, Lynne Marriott, brother Mike Whymark (Linda) and many nieces, nephew, and family. Joanne was predeceased by her husband, Fred Carter and daughter, Kelly Mullen.

Joanne will be missed by many as a fun-loving, social butterfly who loved her family, friends, church, gardening, ‘tea time’ with friends, and crafting. Our sincerest thank you to Ocean View Continuing Care Centre, who treated Fred and Joanne with compassion and kindness.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, from 4 PM – 7 PM and a ‘Tea Time’ Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 10 AM at JA Snow Funeral Home at 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. All welcome to visitation. Family and close friends welcome to Celebration of Life (due to COVID-19 restrictions).
