Perry, Jeanette Mabel, of Halifax, passed away June 20, 2012 at the Abbie J. Lane, QE II. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Parker) Goodhew. Jeanette was retired from Dalhousie Micro Biology Lab as a supervisor. She was a long time volunteer at the QE II Hospital which she enjoyed very much and made many friends during her time there. Until her illness Jeanette enjoyed playing Bingo every Wednesday night at St. Catherine’s with her friends. She enjoyed music, car trips and attending the International Tattoo with her long time, very good friend and caretaker, Jean Moore. Jeanette was predeceased by her brothers, William and Russell. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Visitation will take place on Tuesday June 26 from 10-11am, followed by a memorial service at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
