Gloria Horne

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anne (Slaunwhite) Hayter and devoted and much loved wife of the late Paul Horne.

Prior to working and retiring from the Bank of Montreal, Gloria worked for Acadian Wholesalers, both positions she enjoyed to the fullest.

Gloria is survived by only child, Janet Moulton (David); grandchildren, Matthew Moulton and Mark Moulton. She is also survived by her sister, Millie Reid Halifax; brother, Paul (Eleanor) Hayter Halifax; sisters in law, Eleanor Hayter (nee Mcsorley), Halifax, Elsie (Karl) Barss, Toronto; Bernice (Laurie) Paulin, Oshawa; Grace Slaunwhite, Fredericton and Clara (Lloyd) McLean, Dartmouth as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband Paul Horne; her parents; sister, Betty (Glen) Sudbury; brothers in-law Wally Reid, Glen Sudbury, Clyde (Mary) Horne and sisters in law Rita Lambert, Joan Nickel.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11am from Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Burial will follow the service at St. John’s Cemetery.
