Charles Emmerson Corkum

Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Helen (Hirtle) and Orren Corkum.

Charles was a businessman. He bought the shares of Bridgewater Motors and was president for 33 years. He was Past Master of Masonic Acacia Lodge 39. He performed Grand Lodge duties. He was the Past President of the South Shore Automobile Dealers Association and was elected by fellow Maritime Dodge Dealers to President and then as the advisor counsellor for Chapters Canada. Charles was a sailor and avid boater, owning 2 luxury yachts, Silver Spray 3 and Seafarers. He travelled thousands of miles visiting the USA and the maritime provinces. Cremation has taken place, and some of his ashes will be distributed in his favorite spots on the Atlantic Ocean and the remainder will be buried with his parents in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.

Charles is survived by his best friend Sandra Johnson, son Peter Corkum and Sandra’s son Adam, sister, Faye, niece, Amanda, nephew, Billy, brother Christopher (Cindy), he is predeceased by his parents.
