It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew Brian David Parker, who passed away at the QEII surrounded by his loved ones on November 19, 2023 at the age of 50.
Brian graduated grade 12 from Prince Andrew High School and later went on to take an IT program through NSCC, in which he received his diploma.
Brian was a comedian who had no boundaries, and kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humour in the most mundane life circumstances. His recent hobbies were flirting with his female VON nurses and caregivers. He would put his nephew Brandon’s music on when they came in to do his care, bobbing along to it. (You can still see him bobbing to it)
He enjoyed a Tim’s 4x4 and a Boston cream donut. Brian was a huge gamer and loved to sing songs on YouTube and Smule. Brian was very active as a child. He took martial arts (karate) and loved having his family and friends around him.
Brian is survived by his mother Lorraine Myers and father Brian Parker, brothers Ralph, Corey, Anthony, and sister Elizabeth, as well as many nephews and neices Rhyely, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Johnny, Alex, Orion, Metheo and Corey and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brian is preceded by his grandparents Kingston and Leona Myers, Jack and Joan Parker, aunt Mary Myers, uncle Kenny Myers and Vince Myers.
Funeral will be taking place at J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Lacewood Drive, Halifax at 2:00pm on Saturday November 25, 2023 with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date.
The family wants to express their sincere gratitude to Crystal and her staff at Lacewood Pharmacy. Also all Halifax VON nurses and his caregivers (Kaitlyn and Micki) for all of their kindness and support for Brian’s care.
Any memorial donations given will be received at the service.
Thank You for all you Prayers and support!!
