Age 64, of Bedford, passed away August 14, 2018 at home in her sleep. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Phyllis Allen. Betty graduated in 1976 from St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Arts.
She resided in many locations over years, South Carolina, Scotsburn, Eastern Passage, Fall River, Hacketts Cove and finally, Bedford. Betty was dependent on insulin for over 50 years.
She is survived by brothers, Michael and W. David; as well as nieces, April, Jamie and Jennifer.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 19 from 2-4pm in Cruikshanks Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Burial will be Monday, August 20 at 11 am in Fairview Cemetery, Halifax. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to JDRF Canada (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
