Shirley Smith, 86, of Basking Ridge, NJ died on Dec. 7, 2022. Born in Rochester, NY to the late Roy and Ann McCormick. Shirley was an elementary school teacher in the Teaneck public school system. She loved books, nature, culture, and travel.
Beloved wife of 49 years to the late Harvey Smith. Preceded in death by her cherished sisters Marion, Dolores, Beverly, and Natalie, and her brother Edward. Loving mother of Lisa Smith and her husband Craig Friedman of Del Mar, CA and Louis Smith and his wife Andrea of Morristown, NJ. Devoted grandmother of Caroline and Benjamin Smith.
