I worked with Risa at CPC High Point School for many years.  Her compassion, sensitivity, love, dedication and tireless effort defined her as an excellent teacher.  We all loved working with Risa.  Her positive  attitude and constant support helped make staff a family at work.  She impacted the lives of many of her students….always a strong advocate for their goals and needs.  Risa was so proud and full of love  for her family and glowed when she talked about them at work!  She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.  May her memory be a blessing and may all of your wonderful memories sustain you during this heartbreaking time. 💕


So sorry to hear of Risa's  passing, she was such a sweet and genuine person. Always had time to care about her students, and the people she worked with. May she rest in peace. It was an honor to know and work with her.

Risa Cohen was a beloved teacher and friend at High Point School. She loved the students, and her staff. All the other staff at High Point held her in the highest respect.   She was kind and creative and set limits for the "kids" when needed.

Risa was beautiful inside & outside. She had a big heart that was filled with love & compassion.  Risa gave her all & worked hard with the special needs population.  I had the honor of being her assistant for many summers. Sending my condolences to the Cohen Family❤️  May Risa RIP❤️
