Frederic Michael Shulman

Frederic “Rick” Shulman, age 69, of Teaneck, NJ, passed peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Fran, his parents Lawrence and Enid Shulman of Rochester, NY, his brother Stephen and sister-in-law Miriam, his sister Debbie and partner Harry, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved daughters and their husbands, Anne and Adam, Hayley and Joseph, and Jackie and Jake. Rick graduated from Yeshiva University with a BA in Economics and a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law. Rick was engaged in the practice of law from 1979 to the present, and was a founding member of Price, Meese, Shulman & D’Arminio, P.C. in 1994. An active member of both his legal and local communities, Rick was appointed to the Bergen County Fee Arbitration and Attorney Ethics Committees, and served as a Board Member of the Teaneck Junior Soccer League and the Township Parks, Playgrounds & Recreation Advisory Board. He enjoyed coaching his girls’ recreational and traveling softball and soccer teams, watching the Yankees and Giants, and participating in his weekly poker game. He was a loving father and fierce advocate, and will be greatly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Gutterman & Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 at 11:30 AM, with friends and family to arrive at 11:00 AM, followed by a burial service at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652. Visitation with the family will be held at 654 Suffern Road, Teaneck, NJ on Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM and Friday 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
