Sherri Ann King

Sherri Ann (Melville) King, 73, born August 6,1948 in Chicago, Illinois and born to eternal life May 13, 2022 in Gurnee, Illinois. The only child of parents James J. Melville and Ruth Marie Zander. Sherri graduated from Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School 1966.

Sherri held a variety of jobs in sales until she started with John Petchel and Associates.

As a Sales Representative, for the Health and Beauty industry, she would sell products to large corporations such as Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Ulta Beauty, as well as many more companies. There she successfully attained the position of Vice President. In 2010, Sherri left Petchel and Associates and started her own company. In 2015 she choose to retire.

Sherri married Eric Lynn King on October 21, 1996 in Evanston, Illinois, at Levere Memorial Church.

Sherri liked to travel and made numerous trips to the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii and one to Europe so she could visit her motherland, Ireland.

She also enjoyed live theater downtown Chicago and going to her old stomping grounds where she grew up, so she could enjoy her hotdogs and tamales.

Recently, she joined Warren Township Senior Services and made numerous new friends that she enjoyed playing Bingo with and going on the luncheon outings.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Joseph Melville and Ruth Marie Zander.

She is survived by her husband Eric of 25 glorious years.

Sherri would request that donations be made in lieu of flowers.

A visitation for Sherri Ann will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031.
