Robert H. Storey

Robert H. Storey, 92, of Gurnee, formerly of Waukegan IL and Burlington WI, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2010 at his home with loved ones at his side. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nadine K. Storey (nee Miller) in 1963, his second wife, Helen P. Storey, in 2009, and his sister Renata M. Storey. He is the loving father of Mary Anne (Thomas) Paulson of Sheboygan Wl, and Andrew H. (Kathryn) Storey of Burlington WI; adored step-father to Frederick D. (Mary) Schuh of Sarasota FL, Michelle S. (David) Nordentoft of Gurnee IL, Michael C. (Becca Seitz) Schuh of Baltimore MD, the late Cheri Ann (Bill) Villa of Plymouth MN, and the late Fr. J. Daniel (Gail) Schuh of Beavercreek OH. He is the adoring grandfather and "papa" to Melissa Paulson (Scott) Conger, Blake (Jennifer) Paulson, Alison (Ryan) Giordano, Evan Storey, Brian (Brenda) Storey, Benjamin (Monica) Storey, John and Matthew Villa, Joseph (Dawn) Schuh, Rebecca Schuh, Mallory, Sara, and Natalie Schuh, Katie, Claire and Jack Nordentoft, and Genevieve Schuh; dear great-grandfather to Adelle, Alexandra, and Avi Giordano, Ashlynn and Liam Storey, Arik Paulson, Nathan and Kalee Nevels, Zachary and David Penrod, and Hannah and Ethan Schuh. Robert was born September 24, 1917 in Burlington WI to William and Nora (Kirchner) Storey. He attended Burlington High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, followed by a distinguished career working for the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge TN and Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago IL, retiring in 1982. Visitation at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6400 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 PM, and interment at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
