Medardo Torres

Medardo Torres, age 89, of Uriangato Guanajuato, Mexico passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He died peacefully at his home in Waukegan, IL under the assistance of hospice and loving care of his family, after bravely battling cancer.

Medardo was a long time active member of Most Blessed Trinity and was one of the founders of Club Social Uriangato. Retiring as Solution Operator over 30 years from Abbott Labs. He was a snowbird that always looked forward to spending winter season in his hometown Uriangato and also enjoyed partaking of the San Miguel festivities every September. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever was in need of it.

He is survived by his sons, Carlos, Miguel (Tere) and Jorge (Maria); grandchildren, Diana, Miguel Angel, Irma (Jose Hernandez), David (Lauren) and Ruben; great grandchildren, Leah, Anthony and Tori Hernandez and Robbie and Cami Limeira. Brother, Gilberto and sisters, Belen, Rosa and Maria; and many nieces and nephews.

Medardo was preceded in death by his wife Esperanza of 55 years of marriage; his daughter Elvira; parents, Antonio and Ma. Guadalupe Torres; brothers, Antonio and Eduardo Torres; and sister Esperanza Martinez.
