Maria Del Carmen Sainz, age 86, of Gurnee, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Gurnee. Marie was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Central Espana Cuba. Beloved mother of Enrique (Rose) Sainz; loving grandmother of Kim (Bob) Kadolph, Patti (Mike) Ballou; dear great-grandmother of Alyx, Jake and Ryan Ballou; loving sister of Pilar Fuentes, Norman Meilan; several nieces; nephews and cousins. Preceded by her husband Enrique G. Sainz; grandson Sheldon Sainz; two sisters Lilia and Nelly Meilan; and one brother Manolo Meilan. Maria spent 20 years as Supervisor of Insurance Policies at Combined Insurance. Services will held at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
