Katherine Hogan, age 88, from Zion, IL, died September 30, 2011. Retired from the VA Hospital in North Chicago after 30 years. During retirement she enjoyed being a homemaker and babysitter. Preceded in death by husband, Earl Hogan; three sons, Earl, Arthur and Roger; two sisters, Ethel and Chloe and one brother, Leroy. Survived by one sister Elizabeth; three children Roy Sr. (Bea) Hogan, Essie Ping, Jennie (Brad Sr.) Adams. 17 Grandchildren: Randy (Kim), Roy Jr. (Ivone), Kathy (Hector), Brian (Nubia), Tammy (Eric), Cheryl, Fayette, Connie (Willie), Theresa (Kevin), Lisa, Chuckie (Dawn), Sarah (Allen), Brad Jr. (Grace), Aaron Sr (Nichole), Chuck (Stacey), Rick (Karlene), Barbie (Jeff). In addition 43 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren. Place of service Marsh Funeral Home, Gurnee IL. Visitation 5 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 4th. Wednesday Visitation from 9 to 10 am followed by funeral at 10 am. Burial - North Shore Gardens of Memory.
