Gary Lee Alwardt, age 75, of Kenosha formerly of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Grande Prairie Health and Rehab. Gary was born on January 25, 1947 in Waukegan, IL to Irving and Ruth (Larson) Alwardt. He attended local schools and graduated from Waukegan High School. Gary also attended art school in Chicago. That education turned his passion into a career where he worked for many years as an art director in advertising in Chicago. This also led to his hobbies, which included painting and refinishing antique furniture which everyone appreciated his skill and level of talent.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Ann Wilcox.
Gary is survived by his brother, Robert Alwardt; his dear friend, Jack Ferrero as well as other family and friends.
In accordance with Gary’s wishes, no services will be held, except for one last long ride with his friend Jack, which he so dearly enjoyed.
