Bruce Ostrander, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, entered into eternal rest on November 25, his heavenly birthday. Greeted with open arms by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Bruce was reunited in heaven with his cherished mother, Olive (Hendricks) Ostrander; father, Richmond Ostrander; and brother, Dale Ostrander.
Bruce’s love for music began at an early age, playing drums in bands from his teens through high school. This stayed with him throughout his life, as he enjoyed listening to great music and watching old movies. He dedicated over 40 years to the printing industry, working in pre-press with skill and precision. Bruce also found joy on the golf course, whether chasing a perfect shot or just soaking in the moment.
Bruce was known for his sharp sense of humor, love for his family, and the ability to make those around him feel at ease, bringing laughter to every gathering.
He leaves behind his siblings, Rick Ostrander and wife Donna (California), Lynn Jakubowicz (Illinois) and Scott Ostrander (Illinois) , sister-in-law Darci Ostrander. Nieces and nephews are Chris (Crystal) Jakubowicz (Florida), Melissa (Tony) Harmon (Wisconsin), Michele (Michael) Coletta (Illinois), Elijah Ostrander (California), Shawna (Drew) Habura (Illinois), Tarah (Jake) McBride (Illinois), Haley (Zach) Perez (Wisconsin), Lauren (Ben) Keren (Wisconsin), and countless cousins and good friends who will treasure his memory in their hearts.
While we mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and surrounded by eternal love because the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2Cor 5:8).
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought an excellent fight. I have finished my full course with all my might and I’ve kept my heart full of faith
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at a later date and time yet to be determined.
