Thomas Michael Lorne Gibson

Tom was a devoted father to his late son, Michael Thomas Gibson, and a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Skyler, Alyvea, and Madison Gibson whom he and Kathy took into their home. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories and providing love and guidance. Brother to Tereasa (Gord), Jean (Robert), Jessie (Bill), Suzette (John), Patrick, David (Lynn) and Brian (Debbie). He is also survived by his mother in law Lorraine Prickett, brothers in law, Wayne (Christine), Jeffrey (Diana) and sister in law Sheri (Rod).

Tom is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Kathleen Gibson. Also predeceased is Tom's brother Peter Gibson and sister Cyndy Gibson, his father in law Wilson Prickett, and sister in law Linda Sopha.

Born in Cambridge on December 31, 1954, Tom spent most of his life in this beloved community. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, and watching baseball and hockey. Summers were often spent at the cottage in Sauble Beach, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph). A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel. Everyone is invited to a reception after the service in the Fellowship Lounge at the funeral home. The committal service will follow at 2:30PM at Parklawn Cemetery (750 Fountain St N. Cambridge).

Tom will be deeply missed by all his relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory.
