On December 4th, Theresa Victoria Mazer, passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen LTC in Guelph, ON in her 99th year. Theresa was born in Hamilton, ON. She worked as a tailor for the war effort, and then at International Harvester. She was married in 1948 to her husband Jim. They eventually located to Ancaster where Theresa lived, raised a family, and worked in the cafeteria at Ancaster High School. During retirement, Theresa spent her time volunteering, and continued with her love of sewing, baking, and produce gardening until she moved to retirement living in Guelph. Theresa is survived by her beloved children, Mary Lou (Jim) Fairles, and Bruce (Kathy); cherished grandchildren Jamie (Krista), Christopher (Christel), Lauren (Mike) Longo, Meghan and great-grandchildren Carter, Adelaide, Aurora, Elliot, and Connor. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Jim and her brother George. Theresa took comfort in her Catholic faith. Theresa dedicated her life to her family, cherishing every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was a gathering place for Sunday dinners and family celebrations. She was devoted to family and was very proud of her grand and great-grandchildren. Theresa’s kind and positive nature touched many hearts throughout her life.
A celebration of life will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home Fellowship Lounge.
