Gene Richard Tunney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gene Tunney on December 7 th , 2022

at the age of 90.

Loving husband to Shirley Tunney for 66 years. Beloved father to: Rick Tunney (Laurie) and Cheryl Levely. Proud grandfather of: Connie Tunney, Jody Craig (Ryan), Stephanie Myles (Chris), Eric Levely (Andrea) and Lucas Levely. Great-Grandfather of: Richard Smith, Alyssa Hernadez (Doug), Harrison Turner, Kayleigh Turner, Brianna Craig, Rhyse Craig, Colton Myles, Chase Myles, Brooks Levely. Great-Great Grandfather of: Alexander Hernadez. Dear brother of: the late George Tunney (sister-in-law Jean Tunney) and the late Jack Tunney (the late sister-inlaw Grace Tunney, the late sister-in-law Lorraine Tunney). Predeceased by (i.e. parents, extra relatives): father and mother Harry Tunney and Verna Tunney. Will be fondly remembered by all friends and extended family (Feel free to add aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, etc.)

Gene retired from Ambro Construction after 39 years of dedicated service in the construction field. Gene was a member of the Wellington Masonic Lodge No.271 for over 25 plus years. He enjoyed gardening, watching tv and working at his workbench.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. Visitation will take place on Saturday December 10 th , 2022 from 12-1pm, with a service at 1pm in the funeral home. Reception to follow service. Interment at a later date.
