Born on March 17, 1951, Dad was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a loving husband to Jackie of 52 years, and father to three sons, Lee, Brian, and Chad, whom he loved dearly and raised with unwavering devotion. He is also survived by his three daughter-in laws, Nitsa, Genevieve and Erin whom he was so proud to call his own. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren Victoria, Alexandra, Amelia, Calvin and Lachlan.
Dad was a cherished mentor and friend to many young athletes over the years. As a football coach, he instilled values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in countless players. His passion for the game and commitment to nurturing young talent left an indelible mark on the local sports scene at the time. He felt a great deal of pride following many of his players to the university and pro levels over the years.
In his professional life, Dad was respected by his peers as Director of Operations for Sobeys. In his 45 years in the food and food safety industry, he lead with integrity and a dedication to excellence, helping to shape the success of numerous corporate and store franchisees under his leadership.
Dad had a profound connection to the land. He grew up on the family farm in Huttonville and he found joy and fulfillment returning in retirement to drive the tractor and work the land with his Cousin Craig.
Dad’s legacy is one of kindness, hard work, and unwavering love and commitment to his family. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Friends and relatives are invited to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph) for a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
