Predeceased by her husband Hans Walter and sister Marion Kennedy, she will be forever cherished by many extended family and friends.
Elizabeth lived a life defined by a ceaseless passion for exploration. Her eyes sparkled as she recounted her tales and adventures in Ethiopia. A well-read and knowledgeable conversationalist, Elizabeth could discuss any topic with depth and insight. Her intellectual curiosity knew no bounds, and she inspired those around her to broaden their horizons. Elizabeth approached everything with perfection. Beyond her love for travel and intellectual pursuit, she was a beacon of strength and inspiration to family and friends. She approached each day with a spirit that illuminated the joy of living. In her later years, Elizabeth found solace, peace and a time to reflect on a life well-lived, to savor the present, and to appreciate the beauty in the ordinary.
