Vicki Lynn McVay

Vicki Lynn McVay, age 66, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Grove City. She is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Sarah (Richard) Peters, father and step-mother, Franklin (Nelma) Higgins. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 ½ years and have been together for 51 years, they started out as high school sweethearts. She is also survived by her children, Mindy (Joe David) Wakefield, Michael L. (Misty) McVay Jr., Matthew (Stephanie) McVay Sr., Sarah McVay, grandchildren, Vanessa (Zach) Blazina, Jack Grant, Alysa Wakefield, Madison Grant, Joe D. Wakefield Jr., Taylor (Jeremy) McVay, Michael McVay III, Ricky McVay, Bryant, Riley, Matthew McVay Jr., Braden, Connor, Jessie, great grandchildren, Jason, Sophia, Weston, Wyatt, Wesley, LeeAnne, sisters, Stacy York, Pam Thacker, brothers, John Binkley, Wesley Higgins, Wayne Higgins, Brad Higgins, Chad Higgins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Vicki worked for Nationwide Document Solutions for over 17 years. She enjoyed taking trips to Gatlinburg, TN, watching Hallmark Channel, Partylite candles, and was a part of a Facebook Bible Study, most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She was able to communicate with her grandkids and help them make the decisions that were the best for them. A visitation time will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4-7 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave) where her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10 am. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
