Michael James Scott

Michael J. Scott, age 69, of Grove City, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Earl Scott, brother, Joe, sister-in-law, Mary Hughes-Cornwell. Mike is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of almost 50 years, Deborah A. Scott, daughters, Melissa M. (Rob) D’Costa, Mollie E. (Joe) Miller, grandchildren, Iris and AJ D’Costa, Jackson and Amelia Miller, sister in law and brother in law, Marcia & Roger Tucker, nephew, Brian Tucker (Jordan Lape), nieces, Megan Tucker, Kelly (John) Persichetti, great niece, Shannon Persichetti, great nephew Arlo Tucker and bonus great niece Mila Lape, sister-in-law, Stephanie Scott, and numerous cousins and dear friends. Mike was a Fender guitar player since the age of 12 and could always be counted on to have a guitar pick in his pocket. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 4-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. (Hoover Rd and Kingston Ave.) and again on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 10-11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or a charity of your choice. The family extends deepest gratitude to Dr. Jorge Rios-Perez at the Zangmeister Cancer Center and Mt. Carmel Hospice for their compassion and care for Mike.
