Helen Latella April 6, 1926 – November 5, 2024 Helen Latella, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Grove City, Ohio. Born on April 6, 1926, in Whitman, West Virginia, Helen was a source of strength, love, and inspiration to all who knew her. Helen was married for 43 wonderful years to the love of her life, Anthony Latella, who preceded her in death. Together, they created a close-knit family that would carry on their legacy of love and resilience. Helen is survived by her children: Joseph Latella of Columbus, Ohio; Teresa (Rock) Withrow of The Woodlands, TX; Cassandra Alles-Taracko of Columbus, OH; and Anthony (Cindy) Latella Jr. of Grove City, Ohio. She was a proud grandmother to Heather (Eddie) McCarty, Todd (Kathy) Alles, Jr, Ryan Withrow, Amber (Brian) Hertneky, Tara (Warren) Roberson, Trisha (Brandon) Kist, and Jeremy (Courtney) Latella, as well as a great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren. Helen also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, Anthony, were her parents, John and Mary Socausky, and her siblings: John Socausky, Andrew Socausky, Stanley Socausky, Sally Stanley, Betty Evans, Ann Adkins, and Frank Socausky. She is also preceded in death by her grandchild, Reyer Withrow. Helen taught everyone around her that family is what matters most in life. She demonstrated the meaning of unconditional love by always showing up and supporting those she loved. Known for her warm heart and unwavering strength, Helen was the guiding light of her family and will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by all who were blessed to have known her.
