Gloria Lois White

Gloria Lois White died December 20, 2023, at the Brookdale Pinnacle assisted living facility in Grove City, Ohio. Born on January 28, 1922, to Vera (Berry) Sims in Columbus, Ohio. Gloria lived a life of gentleness, generosity, and humility. She was, over her long life, devoted above all to family. Gloria was married for 54 years to Henry F. White, with whom she had 3 children: Henry (Hank), Sharon, and Richard. She was the caretaker of many more family members across the generations. In her later years, Gloria was quietly and proudly independent. She traveled to Europe for the first time in her late 70s and took trips around the country to visit family into her 80s. She volunteered with different organizations in the Grove City and Columbus area beginning in her 60s and was still sewing lap-robes for veterans’ homes into her 90s. Gloria lived for nearly seventy years in the house that Henry had built and in which they raised their family. She constantly amazed friends and family with her determination and resilience, setting an example for a life well lived. Gloria will be missed dearly by her children Hank (Gamma), Sharon, and Richard (Carolyn); her step-daughter Caryl Dickerson; her grandchildren Nancy Bowman (Arturo), Carol Kennedy (Jim), David Bowman (Becca), Brian White (Chesa), Michelle White (Laura), Anne White (Nick), Dani Hill (Adam), and Sonya Johnston; and numerous great grandchildren.
