William Henry Parsons

Bill was born Dec. 12, 1943, the son of Henry and Anna Parsons, both now deceased. He grew up in Grosse Pointe Park and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.

He married the love of his life, Virginia, in 1968, and together they had three children and 11 grandchildren.

Bill was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and a true friend to many. He loved boating, fishing, motorcycles, fast cars and University of Michigan football.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia; daughter, Karen Shehadeh (Sam); son, Gregory (Jodi); 11 grandchildren, Gene, Annie, Sarah (Jesse), Hadi, Sammy, Billy, Hannah, Josh, Noah, Evelyn and Karen; siblings, Judith Heil (the late William), Edith Vrooman (the late Scott) Barbara Bendure (Donald), James Parsons (Kathy); and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Mee (John).

A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. An instate will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
