William Papas Hess, age 91, died December 19th, at St Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ypsilanti, surrounded by his loving family. William was a mail carrier for USPS. He enjoyed playing cards especially euchre and was an avid walleye fisherman. Beloved husband of the late Margaret who predeceased him in 1985. Dearest father of Sharyn (Tom) Scurlock, Christine (John) Zech, Gregory (Elizabeth), Kevin (Kathy)and the late David. Dear father in-law of Kristina Hess. Loving and proud grandfather of 10, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation Sunday 2pm-9pm with a scripture service at 7pm followed by a music ensemble by the St Margaret Contemporary Group. In state Monday 10am with a mass at 10:30am St Angela Catholic Church, 25395 Chippendale, Roseville. Memorials to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen appreciated by family.
