Michael William Rollins

Michael William Rollins May 12, 1984 November 23, 2016 Michael was the kind of person who could make friends with anyone. He always had a smile on his face and was so happy go lucky. He always brought laughter, joy, and silliness wherever he went. He cared so much for other people and animals. He loved all of his animals, especially his dogs: Dylan, Roxanne, and Tyson. He would train other people's dogs, and bring in his own dogs to the schools to help with the special education children, as well as occasionally assist with the elementary schools. Bringing joy to other people was one of Michael's favorite pastimes. He especially loved his Marvel comic books. His favorite Marvel character was The Punisher. This character is known for always helping others when in need and standing up for what is right. He is a "holds no bar, kick in the teeth, I'm going to help you anyway I can" type of fictional character. If I could compare Michael to The Punisher, he would fit him to the T. Michael would do anything for anyone. He was always there. He loved helping people and was amazing with children. As many of you know, he was known as Mr. Mike in the schools. He positively impacted and touched many lives. But his true passion in this world was his son, Jacob. He loved Jacob with every ounce of his being. Michael was a devoted and loving father. Everyone that knew him, knew that Jacob was his whole world. And I know in my heart that he will continue to watch over and protect Jacob from Heaven. Michael will forever be in our hearts. This isn't "goodbye." This is "I'll see you later, dude." Michael is survived by his son Jacob, his mother Barbara, his father Dennis, his Granny Rose Mary Rollins, and his sister Michelle and her husband Daniel. Family will have visitation Saturday, December 3, 2-6 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods.
