Jeffrey Michael Johnson

Jeff Johnson of Grosse Pointe Shores passed away on Thursday, May 5, at age 71. Jeff was the beloved husband of Patricia and the awesome father of Tim. He is survived by his sister Pamela (Ken) Glowacki, brother Tim (Sharon) and brother-in-law Russ (Carol) Wiedmaier, as well as nephews Paul and Terry, nieces Megan, Alison, Jessica and Jaclyn, great-nephew Sam and great-nieces Charlotte, Kate and Josephine.

Jeff was a 1968 graduate of Austin Catholic Prep and attended Michigan State. He had a very successful 50-year career in the automotive industry, a career that continued up until his passing. Jeff was a devoted Spartan fan and a U of D Jesuit High supporter. His passions included his Chris-Craft boat and his Triumph Bonneville motorcycle. Jeff was also a very talented woodworker.

The family will welcome friends to A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236 on Monday, May 9 from 3 pm to 8 pm. A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 12 noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
