Gerald Wolfe, age 83 of Warren, passed away June 20, 2016. He was born in Center Line on June 2, 1933; the son of Glenn and Gertrude (Nee Doharty) Wolfe. A graduate of Busch High School in Center Line, Gerald was an accomplished athlete, having excelled at Basketball, Track and Football. He received his Bachelors of Special Education and Industrial Arts from Eastern Michigan University and his Masters of Guidance and Counseling from Wayne State University. His passion for education lead him to a 40 year career as a Teacher and Counselor for the Detroit Public School System. Gerald was a longtime member of Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church. His virtue was matched for his devotion to his family, especially his grandchildren. Throughout the years, Gerald enjoyed golfing, hunting, gardening, bowling, crosswords & puzzles and of recently, baking. Gerald had a selfless and trustworthy nature having volunteered his time and assistance to those who needed him. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn for 54 years. Loving father of Amy (Derek Sale) Wolfe and Beth (Gary) Arnold. Treasured grandfather of Henry & Charlie Sale and Lindsay & Alexander Arnold. Dear brother of Betty Lou Harl and the late Glenna Akhurst. He will be greatly missed by many caring family and friends. Gerald's family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9th from 10AM until time of Memorial Service 12PM at Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church, 11451 E. 10 Mile, Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church.
