Carrie Lynn Baker, born Carrie Lynn Kendall on March 30, 1972, passed away on July 26, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. A resident of Grosse Pointe, MI, Carrie grew up in Rochester Hills, MI. She was a valued and beloved team member at Ross Steel, where she worked with dedication and excellence.
Carrie was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and her fierce love for her husband and daughter. Family mattered most to Carrie, and she was a loving and considerate mother who always put her family first. She was a talented person who knew how to get things done, often taking charge of situations with her quick and agile mind. Her subtle sense of humor and quick wit made her a joy to be around. Carrie was also an excellent cook, a gifted hostess, and a math wizard.
Beyond her professional and personal achievements, Carrie had a kind heart and a deep love for reading. She adored her pets and was a dedicated dog walker. Known for her resolve, Carrie was famously stubborn—a trait her loved ones remember with fond smiles and laughter. Above all, she was the beautiful love of Tom's life.
Carrie's spirit and love will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Carrie is survived by her loving husband, Tom Baker, and her cherished daughter, Zoe Baker. She is also survived by her devoted mother, Janet Kendall, and her beloved brother, Curt Kendall.
A celebration of Carrie's life will be held at her brother's house in Rochester on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
