Arnold "Arny" Bernard Krueger, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018, at St. John Hospital in Detroit. He was born to Otto and Ruth Krueger on November 28th, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a 1964 graduate of Harper Woods High School and went on to college at Oakland University where he met his wife, Susan. They married in 1967 in Grosse Pointe Woods and then Arny enlisted in the army as a Hawk Radar Technician. After his military service, Arny worked as a system analyst at ANR in Detroit and then spent the remainder of his career working in the field of computer science and engineering. Throughout his life, Arny remained passionate about his first love, audio. He was an early adopter of digital audio on compact disc and spent his spare time developing high performance speaker systems, testing audio equipment and participating in web-based audio conferences. He was a co-founder of the ABX company, that produced a double blind test instrument for assessing differences between audio equipment. Arny also enjoyed camping, canoeing, home improvement projects and participating in various activities with his church community. Arny is survived by his wife, Susan; his children Daniel, Joseph and Sarah; his grandchildren Noah, Eliana, Theo and Nadia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Arny will be remembered in a private family memorial this summer in one of his favorite places.
