During this time, Ralph’s love of sports kept him very involved in Little League and football coaching while watching his sons play. He was a dedicated Florida Gator fan where his eldest son, Dan was a football Letterman. His avid interest in politics and his love for the city of Savannah had him volunteering on many city and county management Board of Directors. He was most proud of his instrumental part in the creation of the Savannah Girl Scouts‘, “A Night in Old Savannah”, that brought famous entertainment to the streets of Savannah for several years. Ralph’s absolute passion for theatre and acting had him performing and starring in numerous plays at the Savannah Little Theatre where he also served on the Board of Directors for many years. This excitement for being “center stage” included him in many popular movies that led him to becoming a Screen Actors Guild member. Upon retirement, Ralph moved with his wife to Griffin, GA and again became actively involved both on stage and back stage with the Griffin Ballet Theatre, Camelot Theatre, and Main Street Theatre performances. He was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church.
