Emmie Folds Brooks

Emmie was born in Griffin, the daughter of the late Mick Folds and Agnes Purmort Folds. She was part of the Oak Hill Baptist and West Sunnyside Community Church Family. She was a longtime faithful member of the former Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and traveling, she was known to many as “the craft lady”! She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Edward (Ed) Brooks and brother Larry Folds. Survivors include her children Eddie (Terry) & wife Sharon Brooks, Linda (Dale) & husband Ken Greer, grandchildren Chris Brooks, Shane & Jill Brooks, Rhonda & Randy Baughcum, great grandchildren Blake Brooks, Levi Brooks and Sarah Brooks, brother Richard Folds, and sister Shirley & Gene Walters, Emmie was blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emmie Folds Brooks will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Hugh Smith, Sr. and Rev. John Nance will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Sunnyside Community Church, 1840 Patterson Rd., Griffin, GA 30223 or to the Gideon’s Bible Ministry in memory of Mrs. Brooks.
