Shalline Rickson Ross

Shalline Ross, 89, of Troutdale, Oregon, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023 with her husband Jerry at her bedside.

Shalline was born on May 8, 1934 in Toledo, Oregon to Carl and Alice Rickson of Portland, Oregon. After living on the Siletz River several years, they moved to Portland where Shalline graduated from Cleveland High School in 1952. She married Ralph Carroll with whom she had four daughters. Shalline elected to stay at home and care for her family and assist Ralph in his business until the girls went to high school. She then worked for many years in the Kaiser Health Care system. She was divorced after twenty years of marriage and reacquainted with her high school sweetheart Jerry. They were married in 1985. She and Jerry spent many memorable years traveling and enjoying their family and friends.

Shalline was predeceased by her brother Bryce. She is survived by her husband Jerry, her sister Melinda Austin of Bellevue, Washington, her four daughters and their spouses, Marci and Carey Marchant, Sue and Jim Weishan, Lauri and Michael Troychak, Amy and Brad Rands, and stepson Tobin and Sally Ross, eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
