Kathy Ann Moody

Kathy Ann Moody, 68 of Gresham OR, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022. She was born on October 17, 1953 in Hamilton, Ohio to Ernest and Marie Cowan. She moved to Oregon in 1961 and graduated from Gresham High School in 1971. Kathy married Michael Allan Moody in August of 1971 and worked as a paralegal in Bankruptcy from 1971 until her death. Kathy served on the board at Machinist Boilermakers Federal Credit Union and served many different elected positions for Western Horseman of Oregon. She also served as the secretary/treasurer for Interstate Championship Games Meets from 1986 until 2018.

Kathy was an amazing chaperone for the Awesome Eagles Marching Band at Centennial High School from 1989 to 1996. She was an avid bowler, die hard Blazers fan that held season tickets, and she did not miss a National Finals Rodeo except once the last 20 years. She loved to travel and win from time to time on the slots here locally in the NW and in Vegas. Her life revolved around helping and taking care of others in her life.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Dawn Stackhouse of Concho AZ; mother Marie Cowan of Gresham OR and siblings Ernest and Sue Cowan. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, brother Kenneth and her father.

No formal services will be held for Kathy. Contributions in Kathy’s name may be made as donations to the American Diabetes Association or to Susan G. Koman. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
