James “Jim” Floyd Butcher passed away on November 3, 2019 in Troutdale, Oregon at the age of 80. He was born June 14, 1939 in Portland, Oregon to Floyd and Faye (Woodward) Butcher.
He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1957 and joined the Coast Guard the following year. In 1961 he married Barbara Spina and had two boys, Jimmy and Jerry.
Jim was prominently known for his saxophone playing abilities. He played with Edel and the T-Birds, The Rhythm Kings, Jack Worthington, and countless more.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara; his two sons, Jimmy and Jerry; his sister, Janet Alberty; 3 grandkids, 3 great-grandkids and so many others who saw Jim and Barb as like their own parents.
