Florentina Ghinga passed away on Monday March 25, 2013 at her home in Troutdale, Oregon. She was born on December 28, 1958 in Chier, Romania to parents Gheorge and Sofia Lucaci. Tina moved with her family to New Jersey in December 1983, then to Oregon in August 1988.
Tina was a stay at home mom as well as an entrepreneur. From 1988 until just one month before her death, Tina ran an adult foster care in her home. She was a kind woman, always taking care of those around her. She is survived by her husband, John Ghinga; son Paul Ghinga and daughter Brittany Lucaci; mother Sofia Lucaci; brothers Liviu Lucaci, and Nicu Lucaci, sister Anica Miscu; sister in law Fivia Boros and her family; father in law Liviu Lucaci, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held on Wednesday March 27, 2013 from 7-9pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 28, 2013 at 10:00am, with graveside service to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
