Elizabeth was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on August 28, 1950. She was middle daughter to James R. Bowlsby and Ester Gianan Bowlsby. She and her two siblings lived in Merrill, Oregon and attended public schools in the area.
Upon Graduation, Elizabeth moved to the big city of Portland, Oregon to continue her education. While living and working in Portland, she met and fell in love with her Husband-to-be, John Meyer. And they were Wed in August of 1976.
After starting a Family, Elizabeth devoted her life to her Family and her Faith. John and Elizabeth were blessed with Twin daughters, Krystal and Stephanie. And later, they were joined by The Middle One, Annie; and a son, The Caboose, James.
She is survived by her brother, Chet Bowlsby; her brother-in-law, Richard Anderson; her Husband, John Meyer; her daughters, Krystal Town (Christopher); Stephanie Capps; Anne Meyer; and son, James Meyer (Christina); her six Grandchildren, Maddie, Leila, and Jesse Capps; Kenna Meyer; Ava and Lyla Town; and many dear Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ester Bowlsby; her sister, Marion (Anderson) died the day following Elizabeth’s passing.
Elizabeth was a life-long Catholic, who worshipped for many years at St. Agatha. She was well-loved, admired, and deeply respected by her St. Agatha Family. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all those who had the blessing of knowing her.
A Rosary will be held,10:30 am, Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1430 SE Nehalem Street, Portland, OR 97202 followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, officiated by Fr. Luan Tran,
Reception to follow Funeral Mass at: Sacred Heart Fellowship Hall, 3910 SE 11th Ave., Portland, OR 97202
Internment after Reception (3:00) at: Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery, 11666 SE Stevens Rd.
