Gresham resident Dorothy Ellen Miller, 90, died Friday, November 19, surrounded by her family.
A Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon.
Dorothy was born on March 1, 1920 in Seattle to Rueben and Emily (Haller) Welby. Dorothy married Robert Emmett McGee, who preceded her in death. She married Richard, who preceded her in death.
Dorothy played semi-pro fast pitch softball when she was younger, and she remained a sports enthusiast throughout her life. She enjoyed golf, baseball and bowling. Her favorite baseball team was the Seattle Mariners, and whenever someone asked her if they were winning, she would respond with "Ichiro" if they were.
Survivors include her children, Patrick Michael McGee of Portland, Michael Patrick McGee of Redmond and Colleen Leary of Redmond; sister, Nadine Barr of Clackamas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
