Debra Anne Finn

The youngest of four children, Debra Anne Finn was born on April 16, 1958 in Conrad, Montana to Marlyn and Raymond Finn. Debra passed away on October 5, 2024 at 2:44 pm in Portland, Oregon at the age of 66 from complications of COPD.

Debra was 3 when the family moved to Great Falls, and later they moved to Oregon; Portland and the east county Gresham area is where Debra spent most of her life. She attended North Elementary School and Gresham High School.

In the early 80’s, Debra learned to skate at Gresham Skate World. She took lessons and then became interested in competitive roller skating. Together with her partner Ken Peterson, the duo practiced and competed at the Oaks Park Roller Rink. They also won many awards for their partner performances at Oaks Park, one of which was the Northwest Regional Championship in 1985. They also attended the National Skating Championships back east one year.

She vacationed in some exciting places, including Disneyland with her mother, a Mexico cruise with her sister, and Disney World with her family. In 2017, she and her family were reunited with a sister born in 1961 who had been given up for adoption. Debra lost her position as baby of the family, but was forever grateful to have found her youngest sibling.

Debra is preceded in death by her parents, Marlyn Finn and Raymond Finn, and her fur babies, Sadie and Squeakers. She is survived by her siblings, Cheryl ”Cheri” Clark, Philip Finn (Chris Finn), Suzette ”Suzy” Finn, and Brenda Freeman; nephews, Ryan Finn, Mathew Finn (Katie Dock), and Brennan Freeman; nieces, Hayley Freeman and Trustina Kellner Clayton; and her beloved fur baby, Wawnda Rose.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, Oregon 97030. RSVP’s are appreciated.
